A new step forward in ENGLOBE’s international strategy
ENGLOBE has submitted its Expression of Interest for the design services within the ISMEP Istanbul Seismic Risk Mitigation and Emergency Preparedness Program. The initiative, financed by the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), involves the full design of approximately twenty public buildings, primarily schools, distributed across the city of Istanbul.
This participation forms part of a broader strategy through which ENGLOBE aims to strengthen its presence in Türkiye, a country of strategic importance for design activities in seismic-risk areas and for the implementation of structured urban-resilience policies. Programs such as ISMEP require strong multidisciplinary expertise, making the Turkish market a natural context for the development of architectural, engineering, and building-safety services.
Scope of the procedure: integrated design of strategic public buildings
The requested service includes full design activities, from architectural concept development to the preparation of tender documentation. The scope includes:
- conceptual architectural drawings for each site, calibrated to local conditions and stakeholder needs;
- geotechnical investigations and data collection to assess soil conditions and foundation behavior;
- detailed structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, fire-safety, communication, infrastructure, and external-works design, in compliance with the updated Turkish building codes for seismic-risk areas;
- preparation of technical specifications, Bills of Quantities, and tender documents for the executive design package;
- the possibility of developing buildings according to green building standards and post-disaster self-sufficiency criteria, integrating nature-based solutions.
