SALES & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

The successful candidate will play a key role in driving the firm’s business growth. This position goes beyond traditional sales: we are seeking a hands-on professional who can directly generate new business opportunities while leading and developing our sales network.

The position reports directly to General Management and works closely with the CEO, COO, Marketing, and the firm’s technical teams.

THE ROLE

The Sales & Business Development Manager will be responsible for:

• Contributing to the development and execution of the sales strategy.
• Identifying new markets, sectors, and geographic areas for growth.
• Directly acquiring new clients and growing strategic accounts.
• Building and strengthening relationships with developers, investors, construction firms, general contractors, businesses, real estate professionals, and other stakeholders.
• Generating new opportunities and expanding the client portfolio.
• Leading sales discussions and commercial negotiations.
• Coordinating and supporting sales representatives across Italy.
• Working with management to define targets, sales priorities, and key prospects.
• Tracking the sales pipeline and sales forecasts.
• Supporting sales representatives on high-value opportunities and negotiations.
• Organizing regular meetings to align and coordinate the sales network.
• Promoting the sharing of tools, methodologies, and best practices.
• Collaborating with Marketing and Communications to translate market needs into lead generation initiatives.
• Working with technical teams to coordinate major opportunities and sales proposals.

REQUIREMENTS

• 5–8 years of experience in business development, sales management, account management, or related roles, preferably in complex B2B environments.
• Experience coordinating teams, sales agents, consultants, or sales networks, including through functional leadership without direct reporting authority.
• Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and networking skills.
• Ability to acquire new clients and develop new markets.
• Experience managing sales pipelines and business opportunities.
• Strong results orientation.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions.
• Excellent command of English.
• Willingness to travel frequently.

Knowledge of engineering, architecture, construction, real estate, project management, or B2B professional services is a plus.
