ENGLOBE participates in the EU tender for MEP and structural design of the “Gyumri Market and Culinary School” in Armenia

A strategic EU tender reinforcing ENGLOBE’s international presence

ENGLOBE took part in the international tender financed by the European Union for the MEP and structural design services of the “Gyumri Market and Culinary School”, managed by the Simonian Educational Foundation – TUMO Center for Creative Technologies.

This procedure aligns with ENGLOBE’s wider commitment to European initiatives in the Caucasus, a region in which the European Union is actively supporting urban regeneration, youth development, and innovation. It constitutes a valuable opportunity to reinforce the Group’s position in a rapidly changing environment. Consistent with this approach, participation in tenders governed by the EuropeAid and PRAG framework is a key element in expanding ENGLOBE’s reach within multilateral markets.

Tender objective and required technical scope

The tender aimed to deliver full MEP and structural design for a multifunctional complex integrating:

  • a renewed urban market,
  • a culinary school dedicated to professional training,
  • public spaces supporting cultural and economic development in the city of Gyumri.

The technical scope included:

  • complete structural design,
  • complete MEP design (mechanical, electrical, and specialist systems),
  • preparation of the full technical dossier,
  • integration with the administrative, economic, and contractual provisions of the call,
  • compliance with EU requirements for sustainable and low-carbon building solutions.

The project sought to create a replicable model of sustainable architecture, capable of combining innovation, local supply chains, and the valorization of Armenia’s culinary heritage.

Armenia: a key country in EU strategies and a new area of work for ENGLOBE

The Gyumri tender is part of broader EU programs focused on local development, post-industrial regeneration, and youth education. For ENGLOBE, it represents an opportunity to apply consolidated expertise in MEP systems, structural engineering, urban regeneration, and integrated design within a rapidly evolving context.

Participation in PRAG-based tenders confirms the Group’s commitment to expanding its activities toward European projects of high technical and territorial complexity.

Outcome of the procedure

The procedure was awarded to another firm, placing ENGLOBE in second position. While this could be viewed as an unfavorable outcome, its meaning for ENGLOBE is quite different.

In this phase of strong expansion and international consolidation, securing second place in a high-level EU tender clearly indicates that ENGLOBE is progressing in the right direction. It reaffirms the quality of our technical proposal, the competitiveness of the Group, and the strategic importance of maintaining an active presence in international markets.
