elementor-clearfix\"><p>In the heart of <strong>Busto Arsizio (VA)<\/strong>, between Via Marsala, Via Pergolesi, and Via Petrella, a new mixed-use complex is taking shape \u2014 a contemporary architectural structure combining <strong>residential and office functions<\/strong>.<br \/>Commissioned by <strong>Live Green Palace S.r.l.<\/strong>, the project consists of <strong>two independent buildings<\/strong>, each with distinct functions and volumes.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>first block<\/strong>, developed perpendicularly to Via Pergolesi, includes <strong>one underground floor<\/strong> and <strong>three above-ground levels<\/strong> dedicated to parking and office spaces.<br \/>The <strong>second block<\/strong>, on the other hand, is the symbolic heart of the project \u2014 a volume <strong>completely detached from the ground<\/strong>, suspended in mid-air and connected to the lower block only through <strong>the staircase core and two elevator shafts<\/strong>.<br \/>Rising six stories above ground, it hosts residential units with <strong>wide terraces<\/strong> and a <strong>flat roof equipped with photovoltaic panels<\/strong>, combining structural rigor with elementor-clearfix\"><p>The most distinctive element of the project is the series of <strong>nine inclined cylindrical columns<\/strong> in reinforced concrete, placed along the east fa\u00e7ade.<br \/>Each column measures <strong>60 cm in diameter<\/strong> and reaches up to <strong>15.5 meters in height<\/strong>, supporting the suspended volume and transferring vertical and seismic loads to a <strong>100 cm thick reinforced concrete foundation slab<\/strong>.<br \/>At the points of contact, the <strong>fifth floor slab<\/strong> was stiffened with <strong>200&#215;200 cm extradosed plinths, 90 cm thick<\/strong>, to counteract punching stresses from concentrated loads.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n        \t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-size-default\">Structural Analysis and FEM Modeling<\/h2><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-d40020f elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"d40020f\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t        <div class=\"elementor-text-editor elementor-clearfix\"><p>The entire structural design was developed in full compliance with <strong>Italian Building Code (D.M. 17 January 2018)<\/strong> and <strong>Circular No.7\/2019<\/strong>, through <strong>finite element modeling (FEM)<\/strong>.<br \/>The analysis was carried out using <strong>Pro_Sap Professional 2018<\/strong> by <strong>2S.I. \u2013 Software e Servizi per l\u2019Ingegneria<\/strong>, allowing for a complete simulation of the building\u2019s behavior under static and seismic conditions.<br \/>The structure was verified under <strong>ultimate (SLU)<\/strong> and <strong>service (SLE)<\/strong> limit states, adopting a <strong>seismic behavior factor q = 1.067<\/strong>, classified as <strong>non-dissipative<\/strong>.<br \/>Linear dynamic analysis with response spectrum confirmed both the <strong>torsional deformability<\/strong> and <strong>overall stability<\/strong> of the
